Since its commencement in 2014, The Mumbai Metro Line 1 has been the pulse of the city. It connects East and West Mumbai and the two arterial train lines at Andheri and Ghatkopar. It has shortened the distances for travellers on one hand and opened up a world of opportunities for advertisers on the other. At Mumbai Metro, the ridership is gradually increasing by 50% month on month since May 2021. Hence, the metro stations serve as ideal hot spots for advertising in the region.

Bisleri dominates the mineral water industry with a 60% market share, and now the brand dominates the WEH Metro Station on Mumbai Metro by acquiring the Station Branding Rights of Western Express Highway Station, Mumbai. The metro station will now be called Bisleri Western Express Highway Station. With over 20,000 sq. ft. of branding space, the bottled water brand aims to create another landmark in the area akin to the erstwhile “Gold Spot Junction”.

The media mix consists of Backlit Sites, Digital Screens, Ambient Lit Sites, Naming Inventory and, bespoke media like AFC gates, Ticket counters, Entry gate Signage, escalator, and Elevator branding, across the platform and concourse at WEH Metro Station. A Train Wrap is also planned at a later stage. In addition to this, one PoS Kiosk will be installed at the station with 4 more to follow at Andheri, Marol, Sakinaka, and Ghatkopar stations. With the station branding and PoS kiosks, the brand is looking to promote its range of FFDs i.e… Fonzo, Limonata, and Spicy, and three types of Hand Purifiers in addition to their packaged mineral water.

“We are proud to join hands with Times OOH and Mumbai Metro Authority to obtain the naming rights of one of Mumbai’s centrally located metro stations. Bisleri Western Express Highway metro station, previously known as Western Express Highway, is a bustling hub on the remarkably seamless multi-rail transit network serving commuters, offering them immense value and connectivity” said, Angelo George, CEO, Bisleri International Private Limited.

He further added, “At Bisleri, we are constantly evolving ways to improve our consumer engagement through multiple touchpoints. Bisleri kiosks will be placed across all stations in the Metro for commuters to buy our products. With a customized look and feel of station branding and the kiosks, Bisleri aims to create brand experiences that will become an integral part of commuter’s daily life.”

“Bisleri was very keen to be present in a big way in Mumbai. We worked closely with them and Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd. for the execution of this unique campaign. We are extremely proud of our association with the brand and for bringing this project to life. We would also like to thank Mumbai Metro One Pvt.
