Tata Motors appoints Anurag Mehrotra as Vice President of International Business, CVBU


Auto major has appointed Anurag Mehrotra as the Vice President- International Business and Strategy of its Commercial Vehicle Business Unit (CVBU) with effect from October 1, 2021. Before this, Mehrotra was the President & Managing Director of Ford India.

“He brings with him a rich multi industry experience of over twenty five years which he has gained through the course of impactful assignments at WINS Global Services, Accenture and Genesis Public Relations,” Tata Motors said.

Mehrotra will be based out of the IB office in Worli. He will be reporting to the Executive Director & Head, CVBU.

An Electronics Engineer from Mumbai University, he has also pursued his post graduate in Marketing Management from the Times School of Marketing.

Mehrotra spent a decade in Ford India looking after marketing, sales and services. Ford India recently decided to shut down manufacturing in the country, which would affect over 4,000 employees. The company lost $2 billion in the process. Ford is the fifth major automaker to stop manufacturing vehicles in India, since 2017.
