Treebo’s Hotel Superhero appoints former Sabre executive Karthick Prabu as head of product management


Hotel Superhero, the SaaS arm of Treebo Hotels, has brought on board Karthick Prabu as the vice-president and head of product management, said a statement issued today.

Prabu joins the firm from travel technology company Sabre, where he was working as the senior principal, product management. He has also worked across IDS Nxt, Rezopia, among others.

Hotel Superhero, which recently announced an investment from and a technology partnership with hospitality group Accor, offers a cloud-based hotel management software which helps hotels drive higher revenues and guest satisfaction, as well as reduce operating expenses. The company has been hiring top tech talent aggressively on the back of recent deployments of its solution across India and abroad and the resurgence of travel.

“Karthick’s rich experience across the hospitality and airline technology sectors will be a great asset for us as we build Hotel Superhero. We already have a highly sophisticated technology solution that is revolutionising how hotel chains manage their operations. Karthick will lead our efforts as we add many more cutting-edge modules and functionalities to this solution,” said Sidharth Gupta, co-founder of Hotel Superhero.

“For a long time, hotels have been struggling with traditional technology solutions which fail to meet the dynamic expectations of guests and hoteliers, which has been further fueled by Covid. Hotel Superhero is already on the cusp of solving a bunch of these problems and is very well positioned to become the operating system that will transform the way hotels operate,” said Prabu.

Treebo was founded in 2015 by Sidharth Gupta, Kadam Jeet Jain, and Rahul Chaudhary. The company counts Elevation Capital, Matrix Partners, and Bertelsmann India Investments among its investor base.
